Abstract: The prostaglandin E2 (PGE2) receptor EP3 has been detected in the thick ascending limb (TAL) and the collecting duct of the kidney, where its actions are proposed to inhibit water reabsorption. However, EP3 is also expressed in other cell types, including vascular endothelial cells.
