Induced Codeposition of Tungsten with Zinc from Aqueous Citrate Electrolytes
Honorata Kazimierczak,

Abstract:Zinc–tungsten coatings have been considered as environmentally friendly, and corrosion- and wear-resistant coatings. Here, Zn–W coatings were successfully electrodeposited from an aqueous solution. Citrate-based electrolytes with pH in the range of 3.0 to 5.7 were used as plating baths. The kinetics of co-reduction in the Zn(II)–W(VI)–Cit system was studied on the basis of partial polarization curves. The effects of applied potential, electrolyte composition, pH, hydrodynamic conditions and passed charge on th… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
