Indonesian Throughflow in an eddy-resolving ocean model

Abstract: The performance of the eddy-resolving LICOM2.0 in simulating the Indonesian Throughflow has been evaluated against the INSTANT data in the present study. The mean vertical structures of the along strait velocities are simulated well in LICOM2.0, but the large velocities at the bottom of the Lifamatola Passage and the Timor Passage cannot be reproduced by LICOM2.0. The causes are considered to be both the errors in the topography and the tidal mixing at the bottom. Despite several biases in the mean velocities,… Show more

“…Among them, compared with the shaft furnace roasting and the rotary kiln roasting, fluidized magnetizing roasting has become a research hotspot due to its outstanding advantages of high heat and mass transfer efficiency. The scientific research team leded by Yongfu Yu, a well-known mineral processing expert in China [32][33][34][35][36][37][38], proposed the concept of flash magnetizing roasting and designed a reaction device of conveying bed combined with multi-stage cyclone separators, as presented in Fig. 4.…”

“…Based on 30 years of XBT datafrom 1984 to 2013 ITF geostrophic transport experienced a strengthening trend of ~0.1 Sv year -1 (Liu et al, 2015). In addition, numerous numerical models and reanalysis data demonstrate a relatively consistent interannual variability with the observed data (Masumoto et al, 2004;Feng et al, 2013;Yuan et al, 2013).…”
