The present study is a documentary based on a true civil war that had transpired between the Indonesian government and Free Aceh Movement (GAM). The insurgency in Aceh was a conflict fought by the Free Aceh Movement (GAM) between 1976 and 2005, with the goal of making the province of Aceh independent from Indonesia. In 2004, Aceh had been struck by the worst Tsunami in history which affected and changed 360 degrees the lives of Acehnese. The building of Aceh Baharu, highlights the Acehnese struggle and development for the betterment of Aceh. Therefore, the present study is aimed to draw factors influence towards traumatic experience amongst the Acehnese. The three factors draws based on the first observations are human violations, Aceh Current Development and Community Social Cohesion. This is a qualitative study which applies a cross-sectional observation and one-to-one in-depth interview. In addition, researchers will be actively present on the field of observation to witness the post tsunami development on exposed traumatic experience among the Acehnese. Apart of finding factors influence on traumatic experience. All recorded in-depth interview as well as observation process will be presented in a documentary form to demonstrate Aceh today with Acehnese new life's without human violations current development of its infrastructure, economics, culture and continuous community social support which later renamed as 'Aceh Baharu'. Therefore, the present study hopes to initiate the new beginning of Aceh investors and outsiders to invest and visit Aceh. It will also impact on the tourism sector to improve Acehnese lives.

COVID-19, which transmitted rapidly from China, has crossed all the lands in the world, infecting people in every corner. This phenomenon has shocked the public on a large scale, ranging from the mass media; government; to individuals. This study seeks to assess the perceptions of the Acehnese regarding government policy in dealing with COVID-19 in the local realm, especially related to the implementation of non-pharmaceutical interventions (NPIs). An online survey was conducted using a semi-structured questionnaire using a non-probability snowball sampling technique to answer the abovementioned problem. Finally, the questionnaire distributed online collected as many as 264 respondents. In general, the results of the study report that respondents have a high level of compliance with the policies taken by the government in fighting the Coronavirus. Most of them claim to be ready to help their neighbors who have problems with loss of livelihood during the implementation of NPIs that require people to work at home. Interestingly, even though the community has shown willingness to follow government guidelines on quarantine and social distance, most people reject the call to worship at home. Therefore, in formulating the best policy, a comprehensive socio-economic study and cooperation from community leaders, especially religious leaders, are needed to equalize the public's perception.

This study aims to find the reaction or response of Acehnese dayah scholars (ulama) to the use of ‘urf in istinbath of Fiqh Law from Islam Nusantara. This study departs from the fact that Islam is a religion of rahmatan lil’alamin as a universal religion, and the development of society in Indonesia has a growing variety of cultures, thus requiring a special fiqh methodology in adapting culture to religion. This research is a field research with a descriptive qualitative research type. Data collection techniques using documentation, observation and interview techniques. The interviewees came from several dayah clerics who are members of several Islamic organizations such as the NU organization, the MPU organization, the HUDA organization, and the Tastafi Aceh organization. The results of the study show that the response of Islamic religious scholars in Aceh to the use of ‘urf in istinbath fiqh law of Islam Nusantara, some accepted and some refused. Those who refused reasoned that the use of ‘urf fashid is not in accordance with the Shari'a and leads to shirk as is customary of peulheuh alen, rabu abeh in Acehnese society. While the use of ‘urf shahih, Islamic religious scholars in Aceh accept it because it does not conflict with the Shari'a like khanduri blang because it is included in the generality of the argument for charity. Thus, it can be concluded that the istinbath method of Islam Nusantara fiqh law can be accepted and has its legality according to Acehnese Islamic scholars when using ‘urf shahih. The findings of this study contribute to the fact that customary practices need to be preserved if they do not conflict with Shari'a.
