“…Therefore, in this new revision we intend to include the following: keratoconus secondary to vernal catarrh [3], ectasias secondary to parenchymatous keratitis and also keratolorus. Primary keratoglobus, probably a spon taneous clinical variety of keratoconus and secondary kerato globus following the use for many years of scleral contact lens [4,5] for an earlier keratoconus are also included in this series.In any case, although we know that some of the different types of ectasias can, under some circumstances, change the time for surgery, some stage of the operation, or even the result, we believe that as from now keratoconus can be accepted as a pattern for these corneal deformities. A discussion of these deformities is the reason for our paper.…”
