Indications and contraindications to application of different distraction methods of the ankle in endoscopy

Abstract: In 20 patients with sequelae of the ankle injuries arthroscopic operations were performed. Different methods of distraction were used depending upon patients age, joint size, pattern and localization of intra-articular pathology, type and planned duration of surgery. In 18 patients follow up ranged from 1 to 5 years. In 16 patients, significant improvement was achieved, 2 patients had pain in joint under prolonged load.
