Every clinical engineering (CE) team need to be concerned with maintaining or improving the quality level of its activities. One of the factors affecting this quality is the productivity of the technical team. Therefore, measuring the productivity is fundamental for managers to monitor the team and propose actions for improvement. In CE, most productivity indexes are for team assessment, and only few represent the productivity of each person. In this case, most have as methodology for calculation the number of finish service orders (SO) or the number of worked hours (WH). In this work, a productivity index (I P ) was developed based on: number of finished SO, number of WH, and complexity of completed SO. This indicator can be used to help measure the productivity of teams and individual workers. I P was used to evaluate the productivity of a CE Nucleus (NEC) team in the period from 01/01/2018 to 31/12/2019 (Covid-19 pre-pandemic) and also during pandemic period, from 01/03/2020 to 31/07/2021. The data used for this work were collected using the software GETS -Gestão de Tecnologia para Saúde -, which was developed for web-based use by the National Laboratory for Health Technology Management (LNGTS) of the Center for Biomedical Engineering (CEB) at UNICAMP. During pre-pandemic period, it was found that 68% of the NEC professionals had good productivity. During the pandemic period, it was observed that many staff members had low productivity due to intrinsic factors of the period, thus impacting the team's productivity, which, given the circumstances, still presented a good performance. Furthermore, it was interesting to observe that the inclusion of complexity in the measurement of productivity was able to avoid biases in the results.
