Independence of the Judges of the European Court of Human Rights

Abstract

<p>The authority and credibility of the European Court of Human Rights depend on the independence of its judges. The aim of this article is to present the analysis of the criteria of office, the electoral procedure, the terms of office, as well as privileges and immunities of the ECtHR judges.</p>
