Incubação de cooperativas populares: representações sociais e tensões entre racionalidades

Abstract

Resumo Este artigo teórico-empírico trata de um processo organizacional com características peculiares: o processo de incubação de cooperativas populares, iniciado e gerenciado por uma incubadora tecnológica de cooperativas populares (ITCP), localizada na Universidade de São Paulo (USP). Este trabalho, derivado de uma dissertação de mestrado em Administração, teve como objetivo central interpretar as construções de representações sociais sobre o processo de incubação, considerando a tensão entre as racionalidades instrumental e substantiva. A temática das cooperativas populares insere-se no campo de estudos da economia social e solidária, que tem crescido constantemente no Brasil e no mundo. Como principais contribuições teóricas indicamos a abordagem de Guerreiro Ramos sobre a tensão entre racionalidades e a teoria das representações sociais iniciada por Serge Moscovici. Utilizou-se uma metodologia qualitativa, articulando pesquisa bibliográfica e documental e entrevistas abertas no local de trabalho e estudo dos atores, destacando-se trechos de suas falas. Constatou-se mútuo reforço e complementaridade entre as abordagens teóricas escolhidas na interpretação das tensões entre as racionalidades envolvidas nas representações sociais, que emergem no processo de incubação sob formas híbridas, fluidas e complexas (produto-processo).
