Increasing satellite imagery resolution by fusion of data from multiple spatially shifted CCDs: a spectral-based approach

Abstract: This letter describes the task to increase the Earth imagery resolution by means of simultaneous observations from several spatially shifted linear arrays of CCD detectors. We suggest a new method which is based on the direct synthesis of the optimal filters in the spectral domain under the conditions of varying geometrical parameters of observation instead of Papoulis's generalized sampling expansion.
