Increase in meat productivity of young cattle and horses when using environmentally friendly feed additives

Abstract: The article presents the outcomes of studies confirming the feasibility of using zeolite-containing additives with the objective to optimize the diet of young cattle and horses by the content of minerals in it in order to increase their meat productivity. The research has been conducted in the Republic of Tatarstan. Laboratory studies have confirmed that in terms of hazard the zeolite-containing feed additive belongs to the fourth class of chemicals, specifically, low-toxic compounds in accordance with the req… Show more

“…During the periods of parturition, growth, and decrease of lactation the bacterial sowing in milk against the activated zeolite was reliably lower by 1.3-1.6 times (P<0.05; 0.01). Similar changes were observed in somatic cell content in milk of the experimental group cows by 5.9-19.0%, in the period of recession the difference was authentic (P<0.05; 0.01) [14]. Consequently, the use of activated zeolite in milk production technology has a positive effect on the quality and microbiological indicators of raw milk.…”

“…Due to the growing demand for environmentally friendly and organic livestock products the interest in the use of natural minerals increases even more. The prospects of using zeolites as a mineral supplement are due to their chemical composition, which contains more than 40 different macro-and microelements acting on the principle of synergy [7,8]. Besides, they are quite cheap and available.…”
