“…The N 1s XPS spectrum of the AC@GFF synthesized with 0.8 g of KOH is shown in Figure a. Referring to the assignment of bonding configurations of the N 1s components in the literature, three different N 1s chemical components (denoted hereafter as N 1 , N 2 , and N 3 ) located at 398.4 (N 1 ), 400.1 (N 2 ), and 401.3 eV (N 3 ) are identified in the sample, suggesting the existence of at least three different N–C bonding environments . The N 1 component (398.50 eV) is one of the major components of the N 1s peaks.…”

“…Referring to the assignment of bonding configurations of the N 1s components in the literature, 42 three different N 1s chemical components (denoted hereafter as N 1 , N 2 , and N 3 ) located at 398.4 (N 1 ), 400.1 (N 2 ), and 401.3 eV (N 3 ) are identified in the sample, suggesting the existence of at least three different N−C bonding environments. 43 The N 1 component (398.50 eV) is one of the major components of the N 1s peaks. It is correspondent to C-NH 2 and CN−C type chemical environment, where sp 2 N is bonded to two sp 2 carbons as in pyridine (nitrogen atom contributing one p-electron to the π system).…”

“…The testing dataset for HOPG, 30–51 GC, 30,44,52–74 and DLC 15,30–32,75–91 were obtained from the literature. A web tool (WebPlotDigitizer) was used to extract the data points from the Raman spectra in the interval between 1050 and 1800 cm −1 from the literature data 92…”

“…The qualitative chemical compositions of the PyG surface before and after molten salt exposure for 2000 h were determined by XPS analysis. It is evident from the XPS survey spectra shown in Figure 6(a) for the as-received PyG that the major intense peak was from C 1s and minor peaks corresponding to Si-2p, 2s, Ca-2p and Na-1s were observed as surface contaminant [37]. The low-intensity peak corresponding to O-1s was observed at the binding energy value of 533.2 eV revealed that the O is bonded to Si in the form of SiO 2 [38].…”
