“…In spite of the success of SBSE, few studies deal with the influence of K O/W , b (i. e. PDMS and sample volumes), and of sampling time on recovery. Ochiai et al investigated how pH, sample volume, extraction temperature, salt addition, and extraction time influenced SBSE recovery for the analysis of preservatives in drinks and vinegar in concentrations varying from 5 to 50 lg/mL (ppm) [4] and how salt addition, sample volume, PDMS ratio, and extraction time influenced SBSE recovery for aliphatic stale-aldehydes in beer at a concentration of 0.5 ng/mL (ppb) [5] after in situ derivatisation with pentafluorobenzylhydroxylamine.
