Incipient Diabetes Mellitus and Nascent Thyroid Disease Presenting as Beard Alopecia Areata: Case Report and Treatment Review of Alopecia Areata of the Beard

Abstract: Alopecia areata is a non-scarring hair loss that commonly presents on the scalp. In men, when this condition results in facial hair loss on the cheek, jaw, and neck, it is referred to as beard alopecia areata.
