Abstract: Measurements of106 Ru activity carried out in the seaweed Fucus serratus show that the availability of nitrosylruthenium in seawater is closely related to hydrolysis of the complexes. Hydrolysis products are the main source of the chemical species available for exchange with the seaweed, its concentration factor being estimated at 500 ± 350.
