Abstract: BACKGROUNDPosterior Capsular Opacification (PCO) is the commonest complication of cataract surgery today. There are considerable medical, social and economic adverse effects. The important factors to be considered for PCO among others are the IOL composition and design. The cost of any implant must be considered in developing countries like India.
