Incidence of Late Onset Culture Positive Neonatal Sepsis and Its Antibiotic Sensitivity Pattern.

Abstract: Background and objectives: Sepsis is one of the leading causes of neonatal morbidity and mortality. Because of difference in local epidemiology and variation with time, regular monitoring and updates on pathogen and their antimicrobial sensitivity pattern is important for prevention and treatment. The aim of this study was to study the incidence of late onset Culture Positive Sepsis and Antibiotic Sensitivity Pattern at a Tertiary Care Centre and also evaluate the outcome of culture positive late onset sepsis.
