Incidence of Congenital Toxoplasmosis in Newborn Infant in the Western Amazon, Brazil

Abstract: Toxoplasmosis is a very common infection in our environment. The congenital form is the most worrisome, as it causes neurological and ocular lesions, leading to late sequelae, and may also cause abortions and death of the newborn.
