Incidence of Cancer in Brazil and the Potential Use of Isatin Derivatives in Experimental Oncology

Abstract: Cancer has been considered a major public health problem. According to the National Institute of Cancer it was estimated for the year 2013, 518,510 new cases in Brazil. The cancers that are well diagnosed are skin cancer (134,000 new cases), prostate (60,000), female breast (53,000), colorectal (30,000), lung (27,000) stomach (20,000) and cervical (18,000).
