In a similar study in South-Eastern Nigeria [13], a slightly lower prevalence of 35.2% was reported, while in South-Western Nigeria, researchers reported that approximately 50% of Type 2 diabetics in their study had experienced symptoms of hypoglycaemia in the preceding 6months to the study [14].
