Incidence and Determinants of Low birth weight babies at rural tertiary care hospital in central Uttar Pradesh

Abstract: Background: An infant’s birth weight is a reliable index of intrauterine growth and a sensitive predictor of newborn chances of survival, growth and long-term physical and psychosocial development. Low birth weight has been defined as birth weight <2.5 kg regardless of gestational age.
