“…In our analysis age, gender male and BMI were negatively associated with overdosage; in particular, younger patients, female and those with lower BMI would be more likely to have an inappropriate overdosage prescription among octogenarians with AF. Moreover, we showed that diabetes mellitus was an independent predictor of inappropriate DOACs' overdosage, according to previous evidence [10].
