Abstract:In this work, a simple, efficient and repeatable protocol was developed for in vitro regeneration via-callus-mediated organogenesis of Vitex negundo using nodal explants. Effects of basal medium and plant growth regulators, with nodal explants were studied. We report optimum response of callus induction from nodal segment explants in the MS medium containing 1.0 mg/l TDZ and 1.5 mg/l BAP.
