“…This drug has broad spectrum anti-protozoan activity via inhibition effect in the respiratory chain of parasites including some that cause giardiasis, trichomoniasis, leishmaniasis and toxoplasmosis, water/food-related disease states, as well as malaria (Calvo, Luis Lavandera, Agueeros, & Irache, 2011).
