In-vitro Calcium Oxalate Crystallization Inhibition by Achyranthes aspera L. and Bryophyllum pinnatum Lam

Abstract: This work was carried out in collaboration between both authors. Author KA designed the study, performed the statistical analysis, wrote the protocol, wrote the first draft of the manuscript and managed the literature searches, analyses of the study and performed the spectroscopy analysis. Author RV managed the overall checking of the manuscript. Both authors read and approved the final manuscript.

“…Its high antioxidant activity were studied both in vitro (Afanasev, 2005) and in vivo, with the increase of blood content of retinol and alfatocopherol (Casamassima et al, 2013a;Palazzo et al, 2011), and also in meat of different species, such as rabbits (Palazzo et al, 2015), pig (Rossi et al, 2013) and hares (Vizzarri et al, 2014) in order to improve oxidative stability. Radish belongs to the family of Brassicaceae, and has been showed to possess antioxidant properties due to the presence of phenolic compounds, as triterpenoids, alkaloids, flavonoids, both in vitro (Agarwal and Varma, 2015;Suh et al, 2006), and in vivo (Lugasi et al, 2005). Lycopene is an antioxidant compound present in many plants, including tomato (Solanaceae family) widely used as a dietary supplement in livestock production, to improve the quality of the meat (Englmaierova et al, 2011) andeggs (Karadas et al, 2006;Ali et al, 2014).…”

“…The 30 steroidal glycosides, glycosides, alkaloids and organic acids, respectively) are considered to be responsible for antiurolithiatic activity (Agarwal et al, 2015). This fact supports their use by the villagers for treating lithiasis.…”

“…Sesamolin is also highly stable [20]. Moreover, RSO has been showed to process antioxidants properties due to of phenolic compounds as tri-terpenoids, alkaloids, flavonoids both in-vitro [10]. While antioxidant status such as G-S-transferase, catalase and TAC enzymes revealed significant differences among treatments and control.…”
