“…Hence, the presented results indicate that the addition of PVP, which improves the performance of PES membranes, may also limit the scope of their application. It has been shown that damage in PES membranes can be repaired using a colloidal gel solution, which was entrapped in the damaged site after filtration deposition [20]. Microgel-healed PES UF membranes are additionally resistant to cyclic washing with NaOH solutions.…”

“…During the filtration of surfactant solutions, this was explained by the concentration polarization, especially at higher fluxes [40]. Increasing the surfactant concentration in the polarization layer in the vicinity of the membrane surface can lead to monomer and micellar formation, and as a result, the PES 30 kDa membrane removed 60-80% of the anionic surfactants, similar to the PES 10 kDa [41]. Similarly to dextrans, the ingredients present in car wash wastewater also cause fouling, which affects membrane performance [13].…”

“…In terms of adsorption and the absorption of Bengal rose molecules, it is superior to existing MOFs. The adsorption capacity remained high even after three adsorption–desorption cycles, and a membrane adsorber was prepared based on the growth of Sm-BTC crystals in the matrix of three porous polymer materials (nylon, 49 polyethersulfone 50 and polytetrafluoroethylene 51 ). The Sm-BTC supported by nylon showed the highest adsorption performance, which may be due to the uniform distribution of crystals in the scaffold (Fig.…”
