In silico studies of novel pyrazole-furan and pyrazole-pyrrole carboxamide as fungicides against Sclerotinia sclerotiorum

Abstract: Background: Pyrazole-furan and pyrazole-pyrrole moiety are among the molecular structures that were found to have an extensive range of applications in the field of medicine and agrochemical due to their wide spectrum of biological activities. These include antimicrobial activity, anti-glaucoma activity, ocular hypertension activity, and antifungal activity. Results: An in silico study was carried out on 37 compounds of pyrazole-furan and pyrazole-pyrrole carboxamide derivatives against Sclerotinia sclerotioru… Show more

“…[37] The optimized geometries of macrocycles were visualized in BIOVIA Material studio 8.0 program. [38] The nonlinear optical properties were calculated by the same level of theory and basis set as used for the optimization to determine the dipole-moment (m), polarizability (a) and first static-hyperpolarizability (b).…”

“…The growing incidence of microorganisms that resist antimicrobials is a constant concern for the scientific community. Pyrazoles have always been considered as a scaffold-of-choice in designing novel therapeutic agents because of their anti-inflammatory, anti-tumor, antihyperglycemic, antipyretic, analgesic, antibacterial, and antifungal properties [9][10][11][12][13][14][15][16]. In this work, we present a synthesis, structural characterization, and investigation of the biological, spectroscopic, and thermal properties of two new pyrazole derivatives.…”
