Streszczenie: Cel -Celem badań przedstawionych w artykule była analiza emocji, jakie towarzyszą osobom młodym w ocenie efektów decyzji w zakresie gromadzenia oszczędności długoterminowych, zwłaszcza oszczędności emerytalnych. Metodologia badania -Badania przeprowadzono w schemacie eksperymentalnym 2 × 2 na grupie 104 osób w wieku 19-23 lata. Uczestnicy podejmowali hipotetyczne decyzje dotyczące oszczędności prywatnych poza systemem emerytalnym (grupa kontrolna) lub obowiązkowym systemie emerytalnym (grupa eksperymentalna) w warunkach, kiedy w poprzednim okresie ryzykowna część inwestycji (akcje lub OFE) przyniosła straty (scenariusz 1) lub zyski (scenariusz 2). Badano, jakie emocje towarzyszą poszczególnym wariantom scenariuszy oraz jak oceniane są instytucje systemu emerytalnego. Wynik -Wyniki pokazują, że z systemem emerytalnym związanych jest więcej negatywnych emocji, występuje efekt złudzenia gracza i grania na kontynuację trendów. Niezależnie od wyników inwestycji i wzrostu oceny systemu emerytalnego ogółem także w sytuacji, kiedy zyski przynoszą prywatne inwestycje -zawsze niska i negatywna pozostaje ocena ZUS jako instytucji publicznego systemu emerytalnego. Oryginalność -Wyniki badania pozwalają na lepszą diagnozę procesu pasywności osób młodych w zakresie gromadzenia oszczędności emerytalnych, która nie musi wynikać tylko z braku odpowiednich dochodów, lecz także czynników behawioralnych.Słowa kluczowe: finanse behawioralne, oszczędności, zabezpieczenie emerytalne, emocje Wprowadzenie Naturalny eksperyment, jakim są przeprowadzane w ostatnich latach kolejne zmiany w systemie emerytalnym, zwrócił uwagę na znaczenie odpowiedzialnego oszczędzania na emeryturę.
