“…Manual annotations of bouts of interaction between performers is included for parts of the CSS and NIR corpora. These annotations are similar to those produced for Moran et al's Improvising Duos corpus Clayton et al, 2017;Moran et al, 2017), analyzed in Eerola et al (2018). These annotations were carried out by three observers and validation of these data is addressed elsewhere: in brief, time series of the three raters were matched using dynamic time warping, and analysis of interrater agreement on the time-adjusted data resulted in an average κ (Cohen's Kappa) of 0.797 (Z = 13.8, p < .001).…”

Reference is also made to the "Improvising Duos" corpus (curated by , Moran et al 2017 which is analyzed for IEMP papers Eerola et al 2018). This corpus was shared in a different format and on different repositories, however, and does not conform to the model described in this paper, therefore it is not covered here.…”

“…The stimuli were selected from the Improvising Duos video corpus recorded at the Max Planck Institute for Human Cognitive and Brain Sciences in Leipzig, Germany (first reported in Moran et al, 2015). The musicians in these duos were filmed facing each other, and their whole bodies could be seen in the video frame (see Moran, Jakubowski, & Keller, 2017 to view the video corpus). The videos were recorded using a Sony HDR-HC9 camera (Sony Corporation, San Diego, California) in AVI format at a frame rate of 25 frames per second and a frame size of 720 × 576 pixels.…”
