In reliability engineering terms, it is a system of sequential elements: a failure of one element leads to a general system breakdown (Fig. i).A large-scale experimental study has been conducted of hydraulic filling facilities at the Prokopyevskugol Mines to estimate the operation reliability of the system elements and of the general filling scheme.Statistical data collected during experimental observation were processed using probability theory and mathematical statistics, yielding an evaluation of the reliability indicators for system components and the filling system as a whole (Table i).The overall unit labor cost of maintenance and repair in the technical scheme is Q = ql + q2 + qa = 0.23 + 0.77 + 2.34 = 3.34 man-h/h, where ql, q2, and q3 are the unit total labor intensiveness of the maintenance of accumulating hoppers, water supply system, and pulp ducts, respectively.According to Table i, the pulp duct and the mixers are the least reliable elements in the hydraulic filler system; they are followed by the accumulating hoppers; the water supply is the least failure-prone component.We will examine the main causes of failures in the elements of the filling system and consider ways of reducing their impact on the overall system...
