Major challenging issue in H-MANETs (Heterogeneous Mobile Ad hoc Networks) is video transmission because it gets affected due to various factors like dynamic change in topology, interference, node mobility, collusion, and so on. Periodic connection is caused by the topology dynamic change, which leads to significant packet loss. Advancements provide the technical basis for video streaming over H-MANETs in wireless networking and mobile devices. And efforts to achieve video transmission via H-MANETs have run into some barriers, which have been overcome in various ways. Nonetheless, H-MANETs are essential to provide video transmission certainty and quality provisioning. Due to the limited resources, the unreliability of wireless links, node mobility, and heterogeneity, establishing video streaming or enabling real-time multimedia applications over H-MANET with acceptable QoS (quality of service) poses several issues. The article's main goal is to survey QoS-based video transmission in H-MANETs. This study discusses the video transmission method in H-MANET and the importance of the QoS that may be used for video transmission in H-MANET. Various routing protocols and existing methodologies to improve QoS for video transmission in H-MANET are discussed. In addition, the impact of delay in video transmission over H-MANET has been discussed. Several obstacles and issues have been highlighted in providing QoS for video transmission in H-MANET. From 2013 to 2021, a systematic literature review (SLR) is done for QoS-based video transmission in the H-MANET. This survey systematically gives the technical direction for research on QoS-based video transmission and discusses potential future aspects.

Mobile Ad Hoc Networks (MANETs) pose a dynamically organized wireless network, posing a challenge to establishing quality of service (QoS) due to limitations in bandwidth and the ever-changing network topology. These networks are created by assembling nodes systematically, lacking a central infrastructure, and dynamically linking devices such as mobile phones and tablets. Nodes employ diverse methods for service delivery, all while giving priority to network performance. The effectiveness of protocols is crucial in determining the most efficient paths between source and destination nodes, ensuring the timely delivery of messages. Collaborative agreements with MANETs improve accessibility, allow for partial packet delivery and manage network load, ultimately minimizing delays and contributing to exceptional carrier performance. This article conducts a comparative analysis of simulation parameters for AODV, DSR, and MP-OLSR protocols to explore QoS limitations associated with different routing protocols. The study primarily focuses on evaluating various quality metrics for service improvement, assessing protocol performance. Simulation results underscore the DSR protocol's 80% superior throughput compared to AODV and MP-OLSR. However, in terms of delay and packet delivery ratio, the hybrid protocol outperforms both AODV and DSR protocols. These findings provide a distinct perspective for testing the compliance services of MANETs.

Mobile Ad-hoc Networks (MANETs) is the network of wireless mobile nodes with selforganizing, dynamic network connectivity without any pre-defined infrastructure for wireless communication. Error-less data broadcasting is the major role in MANET transmission. With the salient feature of dynamic topology and the distributed infrastructure, multipath routing is of great interests in MANETs. Multipath routing methods are dependable on adjacent nodes for finding the shortest path that several data packets are fallen to network traffic. Attention on the adjacent nodes can have the end-to-end delay while broadcasting the data packets into other nodes that finish up being fallen to congestion. It will also reduce network throughput and cause the network optimality problem. In this paper, we propose a new link-disjoint multipath routing method to solve the optimization problem in the real-time network environment. Hence, the proposed method is used to choose the shortest path from multiple paths in MANETs. Simulation results proved that the proposed method performs well in the dynamic network environment.INDEX TERMS MANET, multipath routing, shortest path, load balancing.
