Abstract:Due to environmental considerations, environmental sustainability has become the main target of contemporary organizations, which has a direct influence on increasing their performance. The purpose of this study was to present the efficiency of green business process optimization for the performances of mining entities. Quantitative research was carried out on a sample of 209 people in an economic entity in the mining industry. The results of the study indicated real possibilities to achieve the objectives set… Show more

This study investigates the impact of enhanced enterprise resource planning (ERP) on firm performance through green supply chain management, supplier integration, and internal integration. The population is the manufacturer domiciled in East Java, Indonesia, which has implemented ERP and been certified by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) in the environmental management system. Data collection used a questionnaire designed with the five-point Likert scale. Of 243 manufacturers, 150 questionnaires were distributed, and 135 questionnaires are considered valid for analysis. Data analysis used smart PLS software. The result indicated that all eight predetermined hypotheses were supported. Enhanced ERP affects supplier integration, internal integration, and green supply chain management. Internal integration affects green supply chain management and firm performance. Supplier integration affects green supply chain management and firm performance. Green supply chain management affects firm performance. An interesting finding is that green supply chain management, internal integration, and supplier integration mediate the effect of enhanced ERP on firm performance. This study’s novelty lies in the research model that analyzes the relationship between the four constructs simultaneously with the green supply chain management, internal integration, and supplier integration as a mediating variable. The research provides an insight for the manager on how to improve the firm performance in supply chain management. This study could also contribute to the current research in supply chain management.

“…In terms of green business, the company does not only have its own internal processes; at the same time, it chooses its suppliers and subcontractors according to the adoption of similar truths. Green management is an approach that encompasses the entirety of a company's internal and external relations (Oncioiu et al, 2019). Green business has a perspective that covers all functions of a business.…”

“…Namely, with the green management approach, there will be an increase in the sales profitability of the enterprises and a decrease in the production costs. While companies' implementation of renewable energy or savings policies with an environmentalist approach will reduce their costs, there will be an increase in sales profitability with the increase in social awareness (Oncioiu et al, 2019).…”
Today, with the rapid increase in industrialization, the production and consumption behaviors of societies have become intense. This situation causes the decrease of limited resources, increase in environmental pollution and deterioration of the environment we live in. Increasing environmental damage during industrialization causes significant ecological deterioration such as climate changes today. However, in the last period, with the support of both international organizations and states, social awareness on this issue has increased. The concept of green economy emerges at this point. Green economy states that economic interests and growth should be evaluated together with the environment. According to this approach, for a sustainable growth, it is necessary for organizations to determine strategies in a way that will cause the least damage to the environment. As environmentally sensitive behaviors began to increase, businesses re-evaluated their internal and external dynamics in this context. Green business is the realization of business activities by considering the environment. With green strategies, companies rearrange their long and short-term business strategies in a way that protects both their own interests and the interests of the natural environment. In this study, a systematic literature review approach is utilized in order to understand the pattern of evolvement of green strategy literature. 1.147 articles were reviewed and were classified into categories about green strategies. Based on the analysis of the studies in the literature, predictions were developed about future studies.
“…Entrepreneurial education becomes a support for environmental aspects. Oncioiu et al analyzed the possibility of modifying business processes in the green field and regarded the effectiveness of these measures [29]. Another argument is provided by Cárcel-Carrasco et al, who analyzed the influence of industrial maintenance on the strategic planning of companies, concluding that it exists and resides in better economic results [30].…”

The study investigates the Romanian entrepreneurial education training program emphasizing the secondary education student entrepreneurial intents included in technical and professional Vocational Education Training (VET) programs, in order to identify its role in increasing student intention in the process of choosing a career as an entrepreneur among graduates of the vocational and technical Romanian education system. The study research methodology was based on the interpretation of two questionnaires consisting of 23 questions, which were applied to a population of 253 and 159 respondents. The survey period was conducted between 2019 and 2020. The respondents were students from the vocational and technical education system in Romania, mostly from the Central Region of Romania, but the results of the study could be extended to the entire Romanian education system. The data were processed using SPSS software, and the results of the study revealed direct, positive, and significant links between psychological and behavioral traits and entrepreneurial intentions of the student surveyed, moderated by the entrepreneurial education acquired through the school curriculum. These results could also be the basis for developing future policies and programs to encourage entrepreneurial behavior, especially for secondary education students from the Romanian education system, specifically on pre-university education.
