Improving the efficiency of relay protection at a mining and processing plant

Abstract: The paper presents the results of constructing effective relay protection in the power supply system of a mining and processing plant (MPP). A brief description of the MPP is given, the power supply and substitution circuits used to calculate the short-circuit currents are given. A statistical analysis of failures in the electric network of the MPP has been carried out, which makes it possible to draw conclusions about the nature of failures ranges. Analysis of the registered faults shows that a significant pa… Show more

“…Ref. [8] also emphasize the importance of the correct use of scientific and technical solutions for the operation and optimal operating modes of the power supply system to increase the efficiency of enterprises. Furthermore, [9] show how various energy efficiency policies can affect the process of decision-making for and investment in energy efficiency in the industry.…”

“…They can be grouped into styles grounded on 2 the input impedance [6] styles grounded on surge travelling goods [7][8][9][10]. Previous research has focused on improving the efficiency of distance protection by developing a set of mathematical laws to adjust the performance of these protection automation systems [11][12][13][14][15][16][17]. Based on Thevenin's laws, a set of algorithms was developed to obtain a more accurate value of damage resistance [18][19][20].…”
