Improving the Diagnostic Utility of Clinical Biomarkers by Discarding Dichotomous Cutoffs

Abstract: The current standard of practice for use of clinical biomarkers is to set a dichotomous cutoff on a continuous variable to distinguish between "positive" or "negative" results.
