Improving the Business of Healthcare

Abstract: Professional boundaries are society-defined limits that provide a safe place where relationships can evolve. Although frequently discussed in the mental health and counseling literature, discussion on boundaries regarding the nurse faculty role is sparse. The author explores the concept of professional boundaries, discusses its application to nurse faculty, and provides recommendations for faculty development and orientation programs.
