Abstract:Spectral combination is promising for diffraction-limited beam quality and single aperture beams. Unfortunately, beamlet deviations, linewidth broadening, and thermal aberrations inevitably degrade the beam quality. Many high-power laser systems integrate adaptive optics systems to maintain beam qualities.
