Improving routing disruption attack detection in MANETs using efficient trust establishment

Abstract: Security is a fundamental prerequisite in self-evolvability network and providing that in any situation is the most problematic task as the network is highly dynamic with no trusted centralized monitoring. On comparing with wired networks MANETs are highly susceptible to security attacks. This article proposed an efficient trust establishment-based routing evidence scheme (ETERE) that carried out in the creation and manipulation of mental representations of information identified. Here, propose I-Trust, probab… Show more

“…Therefore the additional overhead of cluster‐head selection is there. A similar problem is faced by Gomathy et al 9 and Pon et al 31 because that is also a cluster‐based scheme. In Reference 32, a trust‐based probabilistic malicious node detection method is proposed where a periodically accessible trusted authority has to be deployed to pass judgment on the behavior of suspicious nodes based on gathered routing evidence with self and coordinate monitoring.…”

“…Bai [17] proposed the Routing Manager-Based Safe Rate Analysis System (RMBSRA) to enhance multicast routing using bandwidth computation and network traffic identification. Real-time analysis of secure routes via RMBSRA demonstrated enhanced performance compared to existing systems.Yamini, K. Anish Pon et al [18] presented the I-Trust mechanism, leveraging the ETERE scheme to probabilistically detect misbehaving nodes and secure MANET routing. This mechanism employs a reliable routing table for periodic evaluation of node behavior, effectively preventing intrusions.V.…”
