“…We operationalized creativity by using the higher-order construct creative problem-solving capacity comprising four different reflective lower-order constructs (LOCs), namely, PROB, IDEA, EVAL and IMPL. Following the assessment guidelines that, for example, Hair et al (2022Hair et al ( , 2024, Guenther et al (2023) and Sarstedt et al (2019) suggested, we applied the reflective measurement model evaluation criteria to the LOCs to support their reliability and validity. In addition, the heterotrait-monotrait ratio of all the correlations' results (Henseler et al, 2015;Ringle et al, 2023) were significantly lower than 0.85 (i.e.…”

“…We use partial least squares structural equation modeling approach (PLS-SEM; Wold, 1982;Lohmöller, 1989). This causal-predictive approach allows us to empirically confirm the theoretically established model and to substantiate its predictive power to support our findings, conclusions and recommendations, which are inherently predictive in nature (Sarstedt et al, 2022a;Guenther et al, 2023;Magno et al, 2022). We follow the standard protocol of a PLS-SEM analysis as suggested, for example, by Hair et al (2022).…”

“…We believe you will agree that the articles in this special issue are bound to trigger substantial interest in advancing the next-generation prediction technique further by combining PLS predict and CVPAT techniques. We urged LSCM and other business field scholars to integrate both prediction techniques into their reporting (for proper guidelines, please refer to, for example, Sarstedt et al , 2023; Guenther et al , 2023).…”

“…In this regard, the predominant LSCM research could be complemented by a greater emphasis on prediction enabling researchers to optimize their findings, which would, in turn, have an impact on scholars' and practitioners' decision-making (Guenther et al , 2023). LSCM researchers often frame their managerial recommendations as prescriptive statements by following inherent prediction logic.…”

“…The PLS-SEM model was specified to include four exogenous constructs, representing the four categories of risks associated with the use of digital tools (HER, SER, OBR and SOR) and two endogenous constructs, namely the motivation to use (MUDT) and the behavioral intention to adopt these tools (IUDT), as well as the structural relationships determined by the hypotheses previously formulated. In terms of the measurement model, reliability and validity were evaluated based on recommendations in the case of reflective constructs (Hair et al, 2019;Guenther et al, 2023): external loadings, Cronbach's alpha coefficients and composite reliability (rho_a) greater than 0.708 and 0.7 respectively, supported indicator and construct reliability (Table 1). Furthermore, convergent validity was supported by average values extracted (AVE) values higher than 0.7 (Table 1) and the heterotrait-monotrait (HTMT) ratio of correlations (Henseler et al, 2015) (Table 1) lower than 0.85.…”
