Abstract:In time-domain simulations of power system transients, trapezoidal integration with fixed step-size is the most common method due to its accuracy and ease of implementation. Discontinuities occurring within fixed time-step when simulating power electronics circuits, may cause numerical oscillations and errors. Several methods are available in the literature for interpolation and handling of discontinuities. This paper intends to analyze how accuracy is affected by existing techniques for handling discontinuiti… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
