The rock mass fragmentation in discontinuous rock mass is a concern issue in rock mass blasting. The purpose of the study is to find out the influencing parameters of rock mass and blast design in degree of fragmentation of natural block during blasting. The fragmentation conditions were evaluated by block fragmentation method in three different rock types. Blasted block size reduction from in-situ block size distribution (ISBD) to blasted block size distribution (BBSD) were analyzed based on modified Kuz-Ram models and other empirical models which were used to predict D50 of the blocks. Similarly, blastability index (BI), blastability designation (BD), and Fragmentation index (FI) were used to analyzed fractal dimension of block (i.e. volume reduction) from in-situ to blasted rock blocks where average reduction amount in block fragmentation were found 80.3%, 76.41% and 60.14% in Gneiss, Phyllite, and Metasandstone respectively. The result of this study revealed that the blastability and fragmentation index of rock mass depends on in-situ block size, rock mass strength, and powder factor used during blasting. Based on the outcome of the study rock fragmentation and fragmented block size can be predicted by understanding of the discontinuity characteristics of the rock mass along with rock mass class and powder factor of that blasting. Therefore, desired level of block fragmentation, blastability and fragmentation index of blasting rock mass can be got by modifying the blasting design according to the natural block size and rock mass strength of the rock mass.

Досліджено процес клонального розмноження фундука сортів 'Велетень', 'Харків-4', 'Лозівський шароподібний', 'Пірожок' шляхом паралельного стимулювання процесів адвентивного ризогенезу та гемогенезу в умовах in vitro. Як експланти було використано фрагменти живців. У ході виконання роботи було вивчено вплив середовища WPM (англ. Woody Plant Medium) із зменшеним на 75 % вмістом макро- та мікроелементів на морфогенетичний розвиток експлантів. Також досліджено ефективність додавання екзогенних регуляторів росту рослин у середовище культивування за показниками регенерації експлантів, зокрема здатності до адвентивного ризогенезу. Було порівняно вплив комбінацій різних типів ауксинів/цитокінінів на показники регенерації та оцінено їх стимулювальну дію на процес адвентивного ризогенезу. Отримано наступні результати: використання поживного середовища WPM із зменшеною концентрацією неорганічних сполук давало змогу отримати показники регенерації експлантів вищі за 90 %, найбільшу частку ризогенетично активних експлантів отримано при застосуванні комбінацій ауксину ІМК у концентраціях 1,0, 2,0 та 5,0 мг/л та цитокініну 6-БАП у концентраціях 0,1, 0,2 та 0,4 мг/л у поживному середовищі – 92,89, 96,24 та 89,95 %%, і, навпаки, додавання у поживне середовище індоліл-оцтової кислоти (ІОК) як ауксину та кінетину з групи цитокінінів знижувало показники регенерації. У процесі додаткового дослідження ризогенетичної здатності експлантів за якісним інтегрованим показником укорінення (ІПУ) було з'ясовано, що найвищим регенераційним потенціалом володіють експланти сортів 'Велетень', 'Харків-4', які мали значення ІПУ дещо більші за 60 %.

The first reports that auxins promoted root formation in cuttings and that indole-3-butyric acid (IBA) was a particularly effective treatment date from the early 1930s. Since its introduction into horticultural practice, the focus on improvements in the rooting of plants has been largely on the proper use of auxins to enhance adventitious rooting (AR) as well as to increase the range of plants where it can be effective. In this review, we focus on new ideas that might build on what is known about auxin induction of AR. We explore what the evolution in chemical biology has opened through novel high-throughput screening tools to explore auxin regulation of plant development and what it might add to our understanding and potential to produce new tools for the manipulation of AR. The potential for using stronger auxin analogues, alternative indolealkanoic acids, compounds that alter β-oxidation of IBA and other indolealkanoic acids, auxin conjugates, inhibitors of auxin conjugation, inhibitors of endogenous auxin biosynthesis, as well as other plant hormones and compounds that inhibit the production or mimic the effects of signals that might be involved in AR are all discussed. The expectation is that a summary of these advances in our understanding of the chemical biology important to AR might increase the use and exploration of new ideas for the improvement in the practical approaches to advance horticultural rooting methods.
