Abstract:Analysis of projects for the elimination of open-pit mine workings in Russia has shown that most accidents associated with damage to the earth's surface are caused by critical values of rock pressure in empty spaces, a decrease in the bearing capacity of supports or their absence, as well as loss of stability of support structures.
