Improvement of self-excitation process in synchronous generator

Abstract: In this paper the factors influencing the selfexcitation process in the synchronous generator and a method of this process improvement are described. In the case of high stator windings inductance commutation process in the rectifier at the generator output interfere with successful self-excitation, which is confirmed by analytical calculations and practical experiment.
