Improvement of OSC performance for CeZrO4 solid solution with Al2O3 diffusion barrier

Abstract: Az OSC (oxigéntároló képesség) teljesítménynövelése Al 2 O 3 diffúziógátat tartalmazó CeZrO 4 szilárd oldatban Annak érdekében, hogy a CeO 2 -ZrO 2 szilárd oldata (CeZrO 4 ) még inkább felhasználható legyen az autóipari kipufogógáz-katalizátorok oxigéntároló anyagaként, kidolgoztunk egy Al 2 O 3 és CeZrO 4 vegyületekből álló, nanométer finomságú kompozit anyagot (az ACZ-t). Az oxigéntároló képesség (OSC) további javítása céljából a szerzők szisztematikus kutatást végeztek, amely kimutatta, hogy a többlet Al 2 … Show more

“…In the last 15-20 years the engineers and experts working in ceramic manufacturing plants and scientists working in laboratories of universities and research institutions have been engaged into development of more effi cience ceramic materials and items for diff erent industrial purposes [1,2,3,4]. Till today several kinds of ceramic materials and ceramic matrix composites are developed with high values of mechanical strength and hardness [5, 6.…”

“…Nowadays, ceramic items are normally produced with materials having submicron and nanoparticles [24][25][26][27][28]. The raw materials mined at the European ceramic brick and roof-tile plants usually contain considerable proportions of clay minerals, phyllosilicates, layered and amorphous silicate materials [29][30][31][32][33][34], and have submicron particles in different ratios with different specific surface area and grain size distribution.…”

“…In our days the industry requires more and more low density and mechanically strong materials capable to work in high temperature environment. To satisfy these inquires more and more ceramics [1][2][3][4][5][6][7] and ceramic matrix composites [8,9] or cermets [10,11] are applied. To increase the wear resistance and live times of machine parts or machine tools very often hard ceramic coatings and ceramic based composites are used [12][13][14].…”
