Improvement of Meat Qualities of Kazakh Meat-Wool Semi-Fine Sheep by Using the Romney-Marsh Breed

Abstract: This article presents the results of the first stage of research work on the use of the Romney March gene pool of sheep breed based on the laparascopic method of insemination of Kazakh meat-wool semi-fine sheep. The work was performed within the framework of scientific and technical program: "Development of effective methods of selection by branches of animal husbandry for 2018-2020", on task "Development of effective methods of selection in sheep breeding (application of genetics of Romney marsh breed).

“…Violation of these conditions causes a change in the ratio of these processes, which ultimately negatively affects the growth of wool and its quality. The latter, as is known, depends on many factors, which, according to the nature of their impact, can be divided into selection and technological [7,8].…”

“…At the present stage of livestock farming, directed selection, based on knowledge of the patterns of inheritance and variability of quantitative traits under different methods of breeding selection, is of decisive importance [1,2]. The study of the inheritance of traits makes it possible to predict with a high degree of accuracy the effectiveness of certain breeding techniques and create optimal programs for individual herds and entire breeds [3,4].…”

“…In bulls from a heterogeneous selection of parents with r as up to 0.267, there is 7.2% more adipose tissue in the body, including 7.8% more internal tissue, and the relative weight of bones is 0.8 points higher. For sheep of the Kazakh meatwool semi-fine-fleeced breed, the erythrocyte antigen Ab is informative, which correlates with a large shearing of wool (Islamov et. al., 2020).…”
