Improvement of Human Growth Hormone Immunoassay Using 125I.

Abstract: 405180. The therapeutic effects of 6MP and KTS against S-180/B6 were greater in C57B1/6 than in Swiss HaICR mice. The effocts of 6MP and vitamin BG deficiency against ECA were evident only in Swiss HlaTCR sensit, ized to S-180. Thus, in this case, the effectiveness of therapeutic treatments was inlfluenced by the degree of the host response to the tumor.

“…C-peptide levels were measured after the removal of proinsu-lin and alcoholic extraction [23]. Growth hormone concentration was determined by radioimmunoassay [24]. Pancreatic glucagon was measured with specific antiserum R4 which did not cross-react with porcine gut glucagon-like immunoreactivity in the physiological range [25].…”

“…Blood glucose was estimated by the AutoAnalyzer ferricyanide method (7). Plasma growth hormone and insulin concentrations were determined by double-antibody radioimmunoassays (24,30). Plasma immunoreactive glucagon was assayed (49) using an antipancreatic glucagon antiserum which purportedly measures true pancreatic glucagon (30-K antiserum, kindly provided by Dr. R. H. Unger, University of Texas South-Western Medical School, Dallas, Texas).…”

“…Plasma glucose concentration was estimated by Beckman-Analyzer, NEFA according to Duncombe (1964) and glycerol concentration according to Eggstein and Kreutz (1966). Plasma insulin (IRI) and growth hormone (HGH) concentrations were measured by radioimmunoassay (Lambert et al, 1967;Gottschling et al, 1974). Pancreatic glucagon (IRG) concentration was estimated by using a specific antiserum R 4 which did not crossreact with procine gut-GLI in the physiological range (Schulz et al, 1978).…”
