Shopping malls are crowded areas which makes the evacuation routes unable to meet personnel evacuation needs. Therefore, this paper proposes the idea of using escalators evacuation to increasing evacuation routes. In addition, the effects of escalator fire shutters on the use of escalator evacuation paths, and the efficiency of mall personnel evacuation under different conditions were simulated. The results show that the different states of fire shutters have different effects on the emergency evacuation. When the fire shutter is not lowered, it will result in 1 person not being evacuated to complete. However, when the fire shutter is lowered to 1.8 m from the ground or sprinklers are set, escalators can be used for evacuation routes are verified. And compared to the normal descent of the fire shutter (only the staircase evacuation, 2 people not evacuate completed), the evacuation of people is completed and the efficiency of evacuation is improved. This result can improve the new evacuation model for emergency evacuation plans of shopping malls with escalators.

В роботі [4] було досліджено статистику пожеж в Бангладеш, де зазначено, що протягом 20 років кількість пожеж зросла в 5 разів, і принаймні 4057 пожеж в 2019 році були пов'язані з торговими центрами та ринками, що становить орієнтовно 17% від загальної кількості пожеж у тому ж році. Автор роботи зазначає, що основною проблемою, яка призводить до збільшення кількості пожеж, є те, що лише 3,6% торгових центрів у країні відповідають необхідним стандартам пожежної безпеки, тоді як 56,1% та 40,3% торгових центрів були оцінені як "ризиковані" та "дуже ризиковані" відповідно.…”

Проблема. Обов’язковою умовою удосконалення є детальний огляд сучасного стану питання, яке розглядається. Однією з характеристик сучасних міст є наявність великої кількості торговельно-розважальних закладів, які поєднують у собі різні за призначенням приміщення (спортзали, басейни, кінотеатри, ресторани, продуктові, будівельні та інші магазини, і т. інш.), що дає змогу відвідувачам та покупцям отримати практично все бажане в одному місці, від купівлі до розваг та відпочинку. Але через те, що ці заклади включають таку велику кількість пропонованих послуг, і займають, як правило, велику площу, виникає багато ризиків, які суттєво впливають на безпеку таких об'єктів. Пов'язано це насамперед з великою кількістю обладнання, яке обслуговує торговельно-розважальні заклади, великою кількістю комунікацій, яка необхідна для комфортної роботи усіх систем. Людський фактор також відіграє значну роль для підтримання достатнього рівня пожежної безпеки на об'єкті.Мета. Огляд сучасного стану забезпечення пожежної безпеки в торговельно-розважальних закладах. Провести аналіз пожеж, які виникали в торговельно-розважальних закладах. Окреслити основні аспекти удосконалення пожежної безпеки таких закладів.Методи дослідження. Статистичний, аналітичний.Основні результати дослідження. Здійснено огляд сучасного стану в царині пожежної безпеки торговельно-розважальних закладів, проведено аналіз пожеж, які трапилися як в Україні, так і за її межами. Удосконалення пожежної безпеки в торговельно-розважальних закладах є важливою задачею сьогодення.Висновки. Встановлено, що стан пожежної безпеки торговельно-розважальних закладів залежить від оптимального вибору типу та виду систем протипожежного захисту, оскільки сучасні торговельно-розважальні центри супроводжуються великою кількістю відвідувачів і персоналу, складним плануванням, значним пожежним навантаженням. Пожежі на таких об'єктах супроводжуються великими матеріальними збитками та призводять до значних людських втрат.

A promising ventilation strategy is an effective measure to enhance indoor air quality and protect the patients against healthcare-acquired infection. The Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) model represents a patient ward that was constructed using Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software. The simulated results were verified and validated based on the published data. A Renormalization Group (RNG) k-epsilon model based on the Eulerian approach was used to simulate the airflow turbulence, while a discrete phase model (DPM) based on the Lagrangian approach was used to predict the dispersion of airborne particles. This study examined four cases of ventilation strategies, with varying ventilation rates, positioning of supply air diffusers, and location of exhaust grilles. This study revealed that the installation of air curtain jet coupled with a ceiling-mounted air supply diffuser (case 3) above the patient-occupying zone has the highest wiping efficiency against the infectious particles. The utilization of ventilation strategy in case 3 managed to reduce the particle by approximately 3.3 times as compared to the baseline case. The study outcome also suggested that the exhaust grilles should be placed on the upper wall, to ensure a proper mixing of fresh air in the entire patient ward.
