The aim of the present paper is to study the mechanical performance evolution of pinned hybrid glass-flax composite laminates under environment aging conditions. Hybrid glass-flax fibers/epoxy pinned laminates were exposed to salt-spray fog environmental conditions up to 60 days. With the purpose of assessing the relationship between mechanical performances and failure mechanisms at increasing aging time, single lap joints at varying joint geometry (i.e., hole diameter D and hole distance E from free edge) were characterized after 0 days (i.e., unaged samples), 30 days, and 60 days of salt-fog exposition. Based on this approach, the property–structure relationship of the composite laminates was assessed on these critical environmental conditions. In particular, a reduction of failure strength for long-aging-time-aged samples was observed in the range 20–30% compared to unaged one. Due to the natural fiber degradation in a salt-fog environment, premature catastrophic fractures mode due to shear-out and net-tension were found, related to reduced joint fracture strength. This behavior identifies that this type of joint requires a careful design in order to guarantee an effective mechanical stability of the composite hybrid joint under long-term operating conditions in an aggressive environment.

Adhesive bonding has been extensively used to join composites and aluminium alloys in the automotive industry, but a deeper understanding of its fatigue behaviour is still required. This work presents a novel evaluation of the combined performance of joints manufactured with carbon fibre reinforced plastic (CFRP) and aluminium substrates subjected to fatigue loads in the unaged, hygrothermally aged, and dried after hygrothermal aging states. The experimental results allowed to conclude that the fatigue performance of joints can be affected by changes induced by the drying process or losses in the interface strength and that dissimilar combination of substrates sustains higher number of cycles to failure. The fatigue performance of joints with dissimilar substrates was found to be better than that of joints with similar substrates, which can be attributed to the lower stresses acting on the adhesive layer. The presence of water has also noticeably changed the fatigue performance of joints with dissimilar substrates.

There are large amounts of cars passing through the streets every day and this increases significantly in the morning or evening rush hours. The automotive industry has evolved greatly and many technologies have been introduced to automate many of its functions. The code division multiple access(CDMA) is mostly used in our daily lives. The emergence of driverless vehicles has led to a boom in the world of automotive technology, because of its importance in creating a new environment and new concepts aimed at human conformability and increased productivity. Many solutions have been appeared to offer suitable self-driving vehicles environment that is capable to overcome the arising problems. When the self-driving vehicles are well equipped, the only remaining goal is how to control external communications with other vehicles, with updates that can appear in the road and with main center. It come through by the help of CDMA network connection. This paper proposed code division multiple access as a communication technology to overcome the problems may appeared in time division multiple access.The proposed system of robot cars is implemented through high way environment scenario. The communication system is implemented via code division multiple access (CDMA) to realize high security, high quality of services, robustness and high capacity.
