Improved stud layouts for steel-plate–concrete walls subject to blast load

Abstract: An analytical study using a non-linear finite-element method was carried out to evaluate the effect of the shape and spacing of shear studs on the behaviour of steel-plate-concrete walls subject to blast loads. The size of the analytical model was determined by reference to an existing literature review and code requirements (Kepic-SNG). The analytical model was validated against experimental results.
