“…The particle size of I. fumosorosea nanoparticles ranged between 1.71 and 3.0 µm. The EDX analysis confirmed the presence of elementary iron through sharp peaks at ranges of 0.6 and 6.8 KeV, which is typical for the absorption of metallic iron . The XRD pattern of pure ZVI‐ions is known to display at 2 θ values of 44°–45° .…”

“…Our results are also consistent with the findings of some other studies reported on the effects of nano‐formulations on mortality and biological traits of different pests. Chandra et al showed higher pesticidal activity of chitosan‐ Nomuraea rileyi nanoparticle against Spodoptera litura than uncoated fungal metabolite and fungal spores. Similarly, Sabbour observed a significant decrease in LC 50 values when the females of the grasshopper Hetiracris littoralis were treated with chitosan‐destruxin (extracted from M. anisopliae ) nanoparticles.…”

“…The EDAX analysis shows the elemental composition of the ZnO impregnated starch composite prepared from the ball-milled starch and zinc oxide prepared from the ginger 5 Table 3 shows the EDAX of the ball-milled porous starch. Table 4 shows the EDAX of the ZnO coneflowers.…”

“…The nanostructure ZnO coatings are more air-permeable and efficient as UV-blockers compared to bulk ZnO and enhance the UV-blocking property due to the increased surface area and intense absorption in the UV region [4]. Research on the use of zinc oxide in polyester fibres has also been carried out at Poznan University of Technology and the Textile Institute in Lodz [5]. In Tamaki et al [6] treated the potato starch which shows that surface becomes extremely rough and water absorption increased when treated for 10 h. The 'Green synthesis' or 'biogenic synthesis shows better advancement over chemical and physical method as it is lesser toxic, cost-effective, environmentally friendly and also involve proteins as capping agents.…”

“…Chitosan-coated nanoformulations of pyrifluquinazon were found to modify behaviour by rapid feeding cessation, so that insects (eg, green peach aphid, Myzus persicae) starve to death [177]. Further NPs composed of a chitosan nanocarrier and a metabolite from entomopathogenic fungi Nomuraea riley showed higher pesticidal activity against the pest S. litura than the corresponding uncoated fungal metabolite and fungal spores [193].…”
