Improved Multi-Path Routing for QoS on MANET

Abstract: A Mobile Ad hoc NETwork (MANET) is a self-configuring network that is not reliant on infrastructure. This paper introduces a new multipath routing method based on the Multi-Hop Routing (MHR) technique. MHR is the consecutive selection of suitable relay nodes to send information across nodes that are not within direct range of each other. Failing to ensure good MHR leads to several negative consequences, ultimately causing unsuccessful data transmission in a MANET. This research work consists of three portions.… Show more

“…Simulation results demonstrate the effectiveness of these enhancements in securing video transmission in MANETs. (9) Presents a novel multipath routing approach based on Multi-Hop Routing (MHR), crucial for successful data transmission in MANETs. The research comprises three phases: Priority Dynamic Routing (PBDR) aims to mitigate Node Link Failures (NLF) by dynamically considering node mobility parameters, outperforming traditional protocols.…”

“…While several routing protocols have been proposed to optimize individual aspects such as network lifetime, path longevity, or latency reduction, a holistic approach that integrates these objectives is noticeably lacking. Existing protocols often prioritize one objective at the expense of others, resulting in suboptimal network performance and limited adaptability to diverse MANET scenarios (9) . The purpose of this study is to bridge this research gap by introducing and evaluating the Multi-Objective Nodedisjoint Multipath Routing protocol.…”

“…However, MANETs cannot require high-priced or wired infrastructure [3]. Also, conventional wireless networks require a constant network infrastructure with access points or base stations that are eligible to be utilized for situations such as military missions and disaster relief [4]. In these cases, a high-speed deployment and self-organized network can be employed for certain purposes and particular periods.…”
